Is my mouth pain from fillings or something else?

I had 4 cavity fillings done 5 days ago.. My mouth is in excruciating pain, im losing sleep over the pain. Its coming mostly from my pallet but the pain randomly spreads to my throat or sides of my mouth. I went to the doctors and its not strep and all they could tell me is that its viral.. I am a diabetic if that gives a hint to what this could be.. any suggestions to rid this pain or " virus " would be great..

If I were you, I would contact your dentist.
Sometimes one tooth can cause pain all around.
Perhaps one of the 4 teeth with the cavity was fairly deep near the nerve and as he was putting the filling in it was probably touching the nerve. So I would go to your dentist and maybe they could take an x-ray and if that is the problem, then they will probably do a root canal.

Can hand foot and mouth disease only cause blisters around the mouth?

At my 19 month old’s daycare there were several confirmed cases of hand foot and mouth. Now she has blisters all around the outside of her mouth. She was running a fever but not anymore. There are no blisters on her hand and feet? Is it common to only have them around her mouth or could this be something else? Thanks for your help!

Well my daughter recently had it, she had little water pimples on her lower legs and hands, the 2 severe blisters on her tongue so she couldn’t eat. What your daughter has could be the start if it, everyone reacts differently but your best option is to take her to the doctor although there is no treatment for hand, foot and mouth, at least you can find out what is causing her blisters.

Why do different types of candy make my mouth sore?

I’ve noticed that not only sour candy makes my tongue sore, but other as well. I was just recently eating some of those skittles with the different flavored cores in them, and by the time I was done, my mouth felt awful :S

Just curious as to why this is happening, and if you know any remedies to this, that would be greatly appreciated as well ^ ^

acids and ingredients in the candy make your mouth react differently. nut mostly when there is some kind of acid or citrus

Can this be a cause of mouth sores?

I woke up dehydrated one night (several times that same night) and chugged 4 Hawaiin Punches over a few hour span. In the next few days I developed these big sores on the top of my mouth (about 4 of them.) They are extremely painful. They’ve lasted about 5 days now. Has anyone heard of something like this before or could it be something else. Can sweet drinks like that cause something like this. Thanks in advance.

gargle with warm water and salt 2x/day. drink water instead of juice especially if you are in bed. the sugar just sits on your teeth.

i have blisters at my hands , feet, around my mouth and nose and some at my buttocks now. i had high fever 2 days ago, but i dont have it anymore. but the blisters are giving me this terrible pain!!! any home treatment i could do?

Prudent to see a general surgeon/local homeopath/dermatologist for physical examination, relevant investigations, accurate diagnosis and permanent cure by medication and or surgical interference.

Other childhood diseases that might mimic hand foot and mouth disease or heat rash?

My nephew has a rash all over his cheeks and now it is spreading to his back and shoulders. The doctor my sister took him to yesterday first said heat rash and then after arguing with my sister about it for 10 minutes took a look in his mouth claimed there was a was in it and then declared he had Hand foot and mouth disease. BUT none of the online picks look like my nephews rash and he dosent have any of the symptoms. No fever, no fatigue, no loss of apitite, not blisters on his hands or feet, he’s running around like a tornado giggling and having fun. I was wondering if any other disease mimics Hand foot and mouth or heat rash. Could it be an allergic reaction?
They definately dont look like chicken pox. He isnt itching them either. He’s 1. He came home from his dad’s two days ago with this rash on his checks after his dad’s birthday party for him.

Here’s a list of things that might be confused with hand, foot, and mouth disease:
chicken pox, herpangina, Kawasaki disease, Stevens Johnson syndrome, Herpes zoster Infection, or oral herpesvirus Infection. Chicken pox seems most likely at this point.
