A good friend of mine gets blisters in her mouth the size of a finger nail and in her throat they get around an inch long. She has been tested for herpes and lupus and the tests were negative. She has also been to see two different doctors and no one seems to know what it is.

These blisters might be canker sores. If she gets them often, it”s a form of an allergic reaction to certain foods. The number one culprit on this are peanuts and citrus fruits.; chocolates,
Other triggers are toothpaste and mouth wash that contain sodium lauryl sulfate; mechanical trauma to the orat tissues; nutritional deficiency; medications, stress, hormonal changes esp around the menstrual cycle and spicy foods. . If she already tested negative for herpes which cause the cold sores; then it’s definitely canker sores.or aphthous sores.
I get them frequently when I eat too many peanuts and chocolates. She can apply chloramphenique to anesthetize the areas. She can even apply salt on it to constrict it. It’s unpleasant and painful; but you don’t prolong the agonizing discomfort from them.

She could be getting the hands foot and mouth disease and that can really not be treated by medicines so she needs to clean everything out.
But if she has been to the doctor that is really confusing because most all Dr. would now so I guess I am stumped with that.
