i’m 15 and one of my wisdom teeth are coming in on the bottom left side of my mouth. it hasn’t come through my gum yet but if i touch the back of my mouth i can feel it coming in, but only the front part. its causing my jaw and gums really bad pain and i’ve been getting headaches everyday. it’s hurt for the past three days and the only thing i’ve done is take tylenol for pain and apply oragel. is this normal?

If you have coverage for dental, you should check to see if you have any impacted wisdom teeth. As it’s best to get them out before teeth crowding and grinding happens and also easier at your age. Even if it hasn’t come through the gum it can still be extracted to relieve pain. Check with a dentist by getting an x-ray of the painful area.

My 4 year old sister is having trouble sleeping because she is having extreme mouth pain and can not lay on that side and can not eat anything. Any help too what it can be or anything I can do?

It’s probably a cavity.
I would go to the dentist to check it out.
Ask her if you can look at her tooth.
If there is a hole in it, and it is slightly discolored, then it is definately a cavity.
She may just have sensitive teeth, but I would go to the dentist to make sure.
For now, apply some Orajel to ease the pain.

I had 4 cavity fillings done 5 days ago.. My mouth is in excruciating pain, im losing sleep over the pain. Its coming mostly from my pallet but the pain randomly spreads to my throat or sides of my mouth. I went to the doctors and its not strep and all they could tell me is that its viral.. I am a diabetic if that gives a hint to what this could be.. any suggestions to rid this pain or " virus " would be great..

If I were you, I would contact your dentist.
Sometimes one tooth can cause pain all around.
Perhaps one of the 4 teeth with the cavity was fairly deep near the nerve and as he was putting the filling in it was probably touching the nerve. So I would go to your dentist and maybe they could take an x-ray and if that is the problem, then they will probably do a root canal.

I am having trouble breathing through my nose due to anxiety and feeling like I am not getting enough air. I have been breathing through my nose for a few months now (on and off) and an starting to feel chest pain. My oxygen levels in my blood have been checked and it is normal. But I am worrying about the chest pain. Could it be from breathing through my mouth??

It could be from hyperventilating due to your anxiety which can cause chest pain..

My wife had a root canal last week on a molar in the top right side of her mouth. 5 days later, she experienced pain that over an hour and a half went from dull to extreme in her lower gums on the left side of her mouth – almost down into her jaw. It seems unlikely, but is it possible that the root canal procedure on the opposite side of her mouth could be the cause of that pain?

It is impossible. Sounds like she has a separate issue on the other side. Check with a dentist.

Recently my gums are hurting especially the part that is directly behind my two front teeth (incisors) is feeling quite swollen and it is as if my gum is trying to peel.
Its really painful and i can’t eat anything without chewing food from the sides of my mouth as it hurts too much, could it be lack of vitamin c ( plus i haven’t drank any hot drinks lately) so please tell me how to make it stop permanently ( without painkillers) the pain is excruciating please help!

Do you tend to get food trapped there? Your gums sound very inflamed. Assuming your teeth arent broken off or chipped and your not having other symptoms like heat/cold sensitivity or pressure sensitivity, then its probably not tooth related. Basically it has to heal on it’s own. Brush very very gently and don’t floss it until your noticing improvement. You can go to the dentist but at most they’ll give you a "special" mouthwash and tell you what I just did.

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth extracted on Monday and today is the 4th day….
I know everyone recovers at different times but as an 18year old girl, I’m having trouble with this.

My mouth always has this pulsing/throbbing pain. I can’t really describe it but my mom says its just the swelling going down..

Should I take my Ibuprofen meds??

YES!!! Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory medication. It will not only help the pain, but the swelling too. Take it with milk or food (if you can eat anything) to prevent stomach upset. If the pain still does not go away call the dentist. Wisdom teeth have very large roots and leave behind a big socket. You could be developing dry socket and that needs to be treated immediately. Try flushing the sockets with warm salt water, it may help also. If the ibuprofen doesn’t help the pain call the dentist. he may be able to give you something stronger. I hope you feel better soon. I had my wisdom teeth removed about 5 years ago…I remember the pain
