I woke up dehydrated one night (several times that same night) and chugged 4 Hawaiin Punches over a few hour span. In the next few days I developed these big sores on the top of my mouth (about 4 of them.) They are extremely painful. They’ve lasted about 5 days now. Has anyone heard of something like this before or could it be something else. Can sweet drinks like that cause something like this. Thanks in advance.

gargle with warm water and salt 2x/day. drink water instead of juice especially if you are in bed. the sugar just sits on your teeth.

I don’t have herpes or anything but if I ever bite my lip or inner cheek, it ALWAYS develops into a painful white mouth sore that lasts from 5-days to a week before disappearing overnight. How can I get these to heal more quickly?

These are typical infections just on your mouth. They have to run their course for the most part in order to heal. You CAN speed things up by brushing without toothpaste for a few days and avoiding mouthwash as these things have substances in them which are irritants to mouth sores. You can also look into getting ahold of some Colloidal Silver and rinsing with it several times a day. Once I started doing this the time it took to heal mouth sores was cut in half.
In the meantime, get ahold of some baby orajel. Not the adult stuff as it has alcohol in it. Get the baby stuff and it’ll numb that sore right up so it can heal without torturing you.

It seems every time I wake up I have a new sore in my mouth. I currently have three on the inside on my bottom lip.

When one heals, the next day there’s a new one, or even two.

How should I treat them, and why am I getting them?

That shouldn’t be happening. You need to focus on WHY you are getting these sores. Assuming you have good oral hygiene, i.e., brush/floss every day, other possibilities are dietary… that you are vitamin deficient in some way or allergic to something you are eating. Have by any chance recently quit smoking? Some people get mouth ulcers for awhile afterwards. Is there any possibility that you grind your teeth in your sleep and may actually be biting yourself? Are you on any new medications that might have mouth ulcers as a side effect? Some over the counter medications can cause mouth sores if taken in excess. Aspirin is an example.

Try to find a connection between when you get these sores and what is going on in your life. Eliminate the cause and you eliminate the problem. In the meantime, you can buy some over-the-counter creams that will help with the healing.

White sores in mouth beheind lips and on gums ?

Last week my tonsils became swollenand with pus. Also my ear hurt during the night. I’ve been on penicillin and naproxen for 6 days now. My tonsils still have pus and now I’m getting some white sores/bumps in my mouth. I occasionally experience shortness of breath. I’m traveling now so I don’t know if it’s serious enough to go to the er.

If you are feeling short of breath, that means your throat is swelling and partially blocking your airway. Get medical help ASAP.

I started taking a supplement for fever blisters and cankers called The Canker Spanker, which heals the sores you have and helps prevent new ones. Works great!

Check them out online or call your local pharmacy to see if they carry it.

i just recently got braces, and their rubbing up against my mouth, all over, and now i have about 8 different sores, i think their caker sores. i put wax on my braces were it rubs. but it falls off after a while and even though i have it on it still hurts my lips. is there any thing else that can help the pain. i put some canker sore medicine on it. but it only helps temporarly. please help.

The only thing you can do is to stick on a good amount of wax so it doesn’t fall off, and on all the brackets that the sore rubs against when you’re talking or your mouth is closed. Keep the medicine on, that medicine NEEDS to be reapplied after a few hours and after you eat or drink, no matter what kind it is, because it wears off. Wash your mouth out with salt water, and take a painkiller. It’s going to take about a week for it to heal, but these are the ONLY things you can do to help the pain.
