my tongue has got like a filmy whitish grayish on it and i can’t rid of my bad breath! i have a weak immune system, so i am pretty sure that i have thrush! i have no money right now to go to the doctor so are there any home remedies for treatment???? help!!!!

avoid coffee
try water and salt (not freezing cold water but normal water)
try some ginger- boil it then drink and gargle with the water
try a peppermint
this really works boil some tea in a teapot and put some fresh mint leaves in it let it boil until the leaves have gone a dullish black brown colour then drink it- it will be good for your throat and should hopefully stop the bad breathe

Why does your mouth water before you eat pickles?

When ever I have a craving for a pickle, my mouth waters and when I take a bite of the pickle, it can be almost painful (not cold sensation) it is so weird?! I noticed that about all foods with vinegar in them does this also.

Your brain subconsciously knows what’s coming so it prepares your mouth for the vinegar by producing saliva to try to water down the vinegar.

I have this bump on the inside of my cheek. It was bigger, but iv been swishing listerine and salt water for 2 days and its gradually going down. Iv always gotten mouth ulcers, and i have about 3 right now. I did smoke,about a pack a week, but recently quit. The bump is kinda redish, and has a small white part on it. Do you think its anything to worry about since its getting smaller?

What is this white stringy stuff in my mouth?

Lately I’ve been waking up in the morning with this weird solid stringy stuff in my mouth. It’s white and odorless, and kind of gelatin-like. I just clean my mouth and remove it every morning, but I think it’s strange and I wanted to know what could be causing it. I take good care of my mouth, I’ve never even had a cavity, could it be my toothpaste? I’ve been using Crest Pro Health.

i have been having that too lately im not sure what it is but i don think it is serious. mine is usually on my lower lip. i will probably change my toothpaste or toothbrush or something

What are these little blisters on the roof of my mouth?

They are a few little blisters with redness on the roof of my mouth. Has anyone ever had them or know what they could be? They hurt a lot when I eat or drink. Will warm salt water or listerine help?

You probably burned the roof of your mouth. If it gets worse call your doctor. Feel better.

thrush (yeast so take a probiotic from health food store and stop with the sex you both have it now) or Iron deficency test: Go to the mirror and pull your lower eyelid and see if the color is red or flesh color. If its flesh colored you are lacking enough iron and should take a herbal iron like Floradix. It will take a month to see a difference. Iron carrys oxygen in your blood and if you dont have it you will feel tired, cold hands and feet, headaches, RLS, dull brittle hair, brittle nails, poor sleep, pale skin (see thru), shortness of breath, fatigue, poor concentration, low mood, ringing in the ears, irregular heart beats, cracks in the corner of the mouth, dizziness, fainting, sore tongue and canker sores. Add b12 and folic acid for best results.

Can you use Orajel for mouth sores when its says for toothaches?

My husband ran to the store to get me some orajel (I have a canker sore, NOT a cold sore) and he got me one that says for tooth pain maximum strength. Is it safe to use this in my mouth, or must I use the one specifically for a mouth sore. I’m in a lot of pain, but I’m worried to use something wrong. Has anyone used this before on a mouth sore? Thanks

I would get the medication especially for canker sores. I get them a lot too and a good home remedy is Birds custard powder. Put it on before you go to bed.

I’ve done mouth hygiene, any other ideas?

Gargling warm salt water after hydrogen peroxide mouthwashes.

For pain, there’s Orajel or Anbesol. Any OTC gels that have clove oil in them. If the ulcers don’t clear up in a couple of weeks, go see the dentist, it may be a sign of a bigger problem if it’s persistant.
