is it normal to have jaw and mouth pain while wisdom teeth are coming in?

i’m 15 and one of my wisdom teeth are coming in on the bottom left side of my mouth. it hasn’t come through my gum yet but if i touch the back of my mouth i can feel it coming in, but only the front part. its causing my jaw and gums really bad pain and i’ve been getting headaches everyday. it’s hurt for the past three days and the only thing i’ve done is take tylenol for pain and apply oragel. is this normal?

If you have coverage for dental, you should check to see if you have any impacted wisdom teeth. As it’s best to get them out before teeth crowding and grinding happens and also easier at your age. Even if it hasn’t come through the gum it can still be extracted to relieve pain. Check with a dentist by getting an x-ray of the painful area.

I had three cavities filled today and that side of my mouth is quite sore, especially if i try to open it really wide

I remember it being around 24-48 hour.

Sore mouth flap, can anyone tell me what it is?

I have a sore flap in my mouth about 1/4-1/2 an inch long, painful. Located near the upper back cheek area of my mouth. It is easy to move the flap up and down with my tongue. Any ideas as to what this is? Thanks!

Take another look – are you sure it’s on the cheek? Sometimes a flap of gum can form over an erupting wisdom tooth.

what can mouth pain in a 4 year old mean?

My 4 year old sister is having trouble sleeping because she is having extreme mouth pain and can not lay on that side and can not eat anything. Any help too what it can be or anything I can do?

It’s probably a cavity.
I would go to the dentist to check it out.
Ask her if you can look at her tooth.
If there is a hole in it, and it is slightly discolored, then it is definately a cavity.
She may just have sensitive teeth, but I would go to the dentist to make sure.
For now, apply some Orajel to ease the pain.

I have a mouth sore inside my lower lip on the bottom right corner, close to my gums. It hurts when i eat and when i talk. Anyone know how to stop it? Thanks.

I have one of those right now. They hurt like hell. What works wonderful for me is L-Lysine. I take 1 every 4 hours or so.
My Doctor said if sores show up in your mouth then you also have a lot more of them in your stomach.
When I feel one coming on I take a couple before they get too bad. They go away after a couple of days afterward.
I buy it at health food stores or good grocery stores. Pill form. Usaully 500 ml.
Suck on the first pill and let it disolve right on the sore. It will go away a little faster that way.

i have a 4yr off the track thoroughbred that i bought a few days ago, symptoms head tucking up and down movements also like a cribbing mouth movement like she is trying to burp/ grunt noises… she does this often at random times and doesn’t drop her food. She has a normal appetite and she acts good when worked and had a vet check 3 months ago.

Is this a bad float job , is she sore or should i call the vet? thanks. msg for more details if needed.

Windsucking. The tucking her head is a giveaway. A horse does not need to grab hold of something to be able to do this. It is a vice and a sign of stress or boredom.

I had 4 cavity fillings done 5 days ago.. My mouth is in excruciating pain, im losing sleep over the pain. Its coming mostly from my pallet but the pain randomly spreads to my throat or sides of my mouth. I went to the doctors and its not strep and all they could tell me is that its viral.. I am a diabetic if that gives a hint to what this could be.. any suggestions to rid this pain or " virus " would be great..

If I were you, I would contact your dentist.
Sometimes one tooth can cause pain all around.
Perhaps one of the 4 teeth with the cavity was fairly deep near the nerve and as he was putting the filling in it was probably touching the nerve. So I would go to your dentist and maybe they could take an x-ray and if that is the problem, then they will probably do a root canal.

My friend bought Orajel for mouth sores (fever blisters,cannker sores.etc) back from the drug store. just wondering will it work for my tooth pain?

Orajel IS made for tooth pain. It numbs your tooth up.

Can hand foot and mouth disease only cause blisters around the mouth?

At my 19 month old’s daycare there were several confirmed cases of hand foot and mouth. Now she has blisters all around the outside of her mouth. She was running a fever but not anymore. There are no blisters on her hand and feet? Is it common to only have them around her mouth or could this be something else? Thanks for your help!

Well my daughter recently had it, she had little water pimples on her lower legs and hands, the 2 severe blisters on her tongue so she couldn’t eat. What your daughter has could be the start if it, everyone reacts differently but your best option is to take her to the doctor although there is no treatment for hand, foot and mouth, at least you can find out what is causing her blisters.
