Is there a way to keep the gauze in my mouth without having to bite down on it? It’s just getting really annoying. No pain or sleepiness or any other side effects except this stupid gauze. What should I do? Thanks.
Just bite down gently, you don’t have to squeeze it, lol, just apply some pressure, and try to forget it’s there.
You keep it in as long as you’re still bleeding. If your mouth has blood in it, replace the gauze.
If the blood is still being held in the gauze, keep it there so it stops bleeding and scabs over. Otherwise you’ll have a gaping hole that can get infected O:
I was actually bleeding so bad that I had to change it every 30 minutes for 4 hours, because the gauze wasn’t holding enough blood, and my mouth kept filling up.. ugh D:
That was just from one molar, maybe they bleed more, I dunno :/
I took mine out within a couple of hours. If your mouth has stopped bleeding then take it out, otherwise leave it in. Hope this helps!

I just took it out and put a towel in my mouth or you can always replace it with a clean gauze. I remember when I took mines out the blood was all brown
