That’s bacteria from vomiting. Brush your tongue and gargle with Listerine or salt water.

Your stomach acids have burned your tongue.

It’s normal. If you’re vomitting you’re bringing up stomach acids and mucus. And usually when you’re sick your tongue sometimes becomes coated anyway. If you start to feel better and it still doesn’t go away, then maybe you should worry. But it sounds pretty normal considering the circumstances.

The coating on your tongue is most likely from stomach acid.

I hope you are done. If you are still nauseated, try taking coke syrup. Any pharmacist has it behind the counter. (Not Coca Cola).

its normal because the acids in your stomach have gotten into your mouth and they arent used to it. this is what your stomach acids can do.

get some fluids in you because the vomiting and diareha put you at risk for dehydration…and try eating some foods like crackers or something…the coating on the tongue could just be a side effect from all the vomiting..if it doesnt go away after brushing and eating something i suggust seeing a doctor…hope you feel better soon =]

Honey, you need to get to the doctor. You are probably dehydrated. But the mouth problem may be from stomach acid that came up when you vomited. I don’t understand why orange juice isn’t uncomfortable, though. You have hydrochloric acid in your stomach that digests food. It is very caustic and will burn the tissue in your mouth and after repeated vomiting, even the enamel on your teeth (that’s why bulimics have decayed teeth). Also why reflux burns so bad. You do need an appointment-dehydration can be bad–do
yourself a favor and make one.

You should probably go to a doctor. You should also eat a fair amount. Listerene, Water Piking, tooth brushing should take away the coating and eventually the bad taste.

It’s normal. It’s just from the stomach acids. Brush your teeth real good and drink plenty of fluids. It’ll go away soon. Always brush your teeth after vomiting. If you don’t all that stomach acid eats away at the enamel on your teeth. That’s also probably why you have a bad taste and sore mouth and stuff.
So basically it’s nothing to worry about. Just drink fluids and brush real good :)

And to the first person who answered this – vomiting for 24 hours is completely normal with the flu.
