MY 5 month old has white bumps on the inside of her bottom lip.I believe it may be thrush or hand, foot mouth?

She does not seem to have any discomfort. One thing i have noticed is a day before on her forhead and top of her head she has four bumps that look like a bite of somekind. i just wondered if these could be a sign of thrush also or something else?
well went to the Dr. She is cutting teeth so bad and chewing on things so hard that is why the inside of her mouth is sore. And the bumps are bites of somekind from being outside. i was told i cant use any kind of bug spray either.well thanks everyone for your answers!!!!

Sounds like 2 seperate things to me. Thrush and bites of some kind. I don’t think either is much to worry about, although the thrush will need treating

Thrush usually doesn’t have bumps. It looks more like a white film covering the inside of the mouth, maybe splotchy. Thrush is basically a yeast infection.

    Have the doctor take look.

Does she gum her lips, or suck on her lower lip?

My baby always did that, even in the womb (ultrasound photos).

You haven’t been popping the bumps have you? I experience the same with my son when he was about six months old. It is normal but still have the physician look at them.

I know thrush can be painful but I think it’s more on the inside of their cheeks. My son had hand, foot, mouth disease when he was around 9 months or so and it caused him to run a high fever for a day or so and when I took him to the pediatrician she showed me these tiny little red dots that were on his foot that I hadn’t noticed they were so small. I’m not sure if it causes white bumps, you may want to call the nurse at your ped’s office and just see what she thinks.

Thrush doesn’t have bumps. It is a white filmy look that can cover the mouth entirely (and your nipple if you breastfeed). When ever any child has bumps or signs of thrush (which can’t be brushed away like formula) you need to get them to a Dr. Thrush can really hurt and cause problems during feedings. Unknown blisters can be caused by an allergic reaction or a virus or infection and may require medicine. A Dr call is needed if you have no idea what it is.
