What’s wrong with her, and what do I do about it?
Its white/clear, sticky and all over her mouth.
What is it?
I don’t think it is possible for her to have rabes because she hasn’t been outside since summer 09.
you should take her to the vet it could be rabies if she has not had her shots!
get her there asap AND DONT LET HER BITE YOU
(it could be water) and some other sticky clear liquid

It sounds like an advanced stage of "periodontal disease". Unfortunately if your cat is having trouble closing her mouth, that means that you have had a very bad vet taking care of her throughout the years. It starts as soon as she gets her teeth. The vet should have spotted it long time ago.
Go see your vet immediately.
If in early stages, it can be revers able, but if it is in the advance stage, you are looking at teeth loss.
PS: The white sticky stuff is extreme plaque or tacky (gingivitis).
Sorry, poor cat. Your going to have to start brushing her teeth per your vet’s instruction with cat toothpast (not human’s).
